Does anyone have any information on her or her son Peter Judson. They are listed on the hastings settlement. Dhe married a David Laframboise some time after 1889.

I have a Jane Hoffman b. 1858 and married to Joseph Goodteacher 9-18-1907 in SD, Greenwood, Charles Mix she was a widow and she was his second wife after Mary Chapman. If Jane could have been the same person, let me know hope this helps you marnie

1904 Henton papers page 43 "Mrs. Jennie Hoffman, widow of John Hoffman, live in the building above referred to, which is situated in the southwest corner of the tract. She leases all of the tract except a small truck patch of about one half acre which she cultivates herself. This woman is about seventy years of age and in poor circumstances. Emma Judson, her daughter, to whom twenty acres of this land was allotted resides at Morton, Mn, as I understand, and lets her mother have the entire proceeds from this land. Description NO. 67. John Hoffman. Part of the se/4 of se/4, sec. 27, T 115 N. R. 17 W., beginning at a point 664.20 feet west, on section line, of the se corner of said section, running thence north 1315. 87 feet on line parallel to east line of section; thence west 663.30 feet; thence south 1313.70 feet to section line; thence east on seciton line 664.20 feet to place of beginning, containing 20 acres, more or less.
